Matt Ryan arrives in Valencia to undergo medical revision

Valencia-bound, Matt Ryan.

Club Brugge announced the transfer of the Australian goalkeeper; Valencia will pay the Belgian side 7 million euros.

A tweet by Club Brugge confirmed a rumour which has been
doing the rounds for several weeks in Belgium. Valencia
have signed Australian goalkeeper Matt Ryan although there has been no official word from the Spanish club. The 23- year-old, who has been the best player in his position in the Jupiler League for the past two years, must first pass a medical revision with his soon-to-be employers; he arrived in Valencia on Monday afternoon.
Valencia are expected to pay Brugge seven million euros for the keeper. The Spanish outfit had originally hoped to
secure an experienced keeper on loan and had toyed with the idea of pursuing players such as Víctor Valdés, David Ospina or Salvatore Sirigu – taking into consideration Financial Fair Play restrictions. In the end, Meriton decided to invest in the promising Australian keeper, who has already said his goodbyes to everyone in Belgium.
