A TEACHER was allowed back into a classroom after being jailed for grooming a teenage girl.

FURIOUS: Upset parents are demanding answers from the primary school [SWNS]

Watchdog Ofsted put a primary school into special measures when it was discovered Craig Lindsay had volunteered there without a proper risk assessment.
Lindsay, 41, was jailed for 15 months in 2011 for grooming a 16-year-old girl in online and webcam sex chats when he was a teacher.
Furious parents are now demanding to know how he came to be allowed near their children at Picknalls First School in Uttoxeter, Staffs.
One said: "There are a lot of upset parents. We want to know how he was allowed in a class without checks."
Head Anne Tapp said the Ofsted move was "so disappointing" after it had graded teaching, achievement and early years provision as good.
She added: "I can assure parents and the community that children are safe.

"Confidentiality prevents me from providing more details, but there was a one-off occasion during which the children were fully supervised."
Lindsay first showed an interest in the girl when she was 14 and he was teaching at Thomas Alleyne School, Uttoxeter.
When she was 16 or 17, he engaged in x-rated cyber chats.
He flattered her before sending explicit messages and performing a "cringeworthy" webcam sex act.
A judge at Stafford Crown Court told Lindsay he would never again be able to work with children.
Ofsted said: "The school's leaders did not follow the statutory safer recruitment practices before allowing a volunteer to work with children. "
