The man and woman, both in their fifties, had knocked back the booze and scoffed shrimp at a city centre eatery before nipping out.
The Thai restaurant's boss, who spotted them leaving, assumed the drunken pair were heading for a crafty cigarette break.
But the shocked owner got an eyeful when he glanced at the CCTV monitor after hearing an ashtray fall to ground.
