| Feast your eyes on some of the worst film special effects ever |
While you may have spent much of your cinemagoing summer being wowed by blockbuster-level special effects, not every movie comes to the screen with such impressive visuals.
So let’s spare a thought for some of those dodgy shark attacks, rubbish monster effects and clearly mocked-up backdrops in this YouTube compilation of some of the worst special effects of all time.
Whether it’s Samuel L Jackson abruptly being eaten by a giant killer fish in Deep Blue Sea, the ridiculously OTT shenanigans of Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus or simply the low-budget silliness of Birdemic:
Shock and Terror (which has to be seen to be believed), makers World Wide Interweb don’t seem to have left
much out.
In fact, they’ve even managed to shoehorn in a few less-than- effective effects from blockbuster movies, with The Mummy Returns, Bond movie Die Another Day and even this moment from Star Wars Episode IV featuring Han Solo and Jabba The Hutt:
