10 Iconic Wedding Dresses

Back in 1770, Marie Antoinette was married at age 14, adorned with diamonds and pearls, to her 15 year old suitor. After centuries of rivalry, France and Austria cemented their alliance by deciding to wed the children of the respective diplomats. The actual wedding dress has not been preserved but here’s an example of an era dress, as well as how it was imagined in the movie with Kirsten Dunst.

In 1937, Wallis Simpson, an American socialite, became the Duchess of Windsor when she married Edward VIII. She had been married twice before (which is not acceptable in the royal family) so Edward chose to renounce his throne in the British monarchy in order to marry her. They remained married until his death 35 years later.

In addition to having an incredible romance with a Duke, Wallis’s dress was regarded as one of the most photographed and copied dresses at the time.

Queen Elizabeth II married in 1947 (shortly after WWII ended) and had to use ration cards to buy the materials for her gorgeous gown.

Princess Diana’s larger-than-life Victorian-inspired dress from 1981 is reminiscent of decadent royal dresses of the past.

Kate Middleton’s 2011 wedding gown is a bit more modern and sleek… and came with a $400K price tag.

Another bride of infamously many weddings is Elizabeth Taylor. Her first wedding was in 1950 at age 18, and her first gown is easily the most classic and beautiful. She went on to marry seven additional times to six additional men.

Here is the gown from Elizabeth Taylor’s fourth wedding in 1959. She wore green instead of the traditional white.

Perhaps Solange Knowles was channeling her inner Mis Farrow when she married Alan Ferguson in 2014. They arrived on bicycles, with Solange sporting a jumpsuit with an attached cape.

Audrey Hepburn was known for her beauty and style, despite also being a dedicated humanitarian. Her wedding dress serves as proof of the former, embodying the style of the ’50s.

Before she became Jackie O, Jacqueline Kennedy wore a full-skirted dress when she married JFK in 1953. She completed her look with white gloves and a full veil.

10 celebrities who totally transformed between childhood and adulthood

Once upon a time these famous faces looked so different that you wouldn't even recognise them The faces of such stars as Kim Kardashian and David Beckham are known all over the globe... now.
But some celebs once looked so different in their younger years that you'd struggle to recognise them.
Even the ones who grew up in the spotlight - like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake - have completely transformed since their childhoods.
Therefore we think it's only right to take a walk down memory lane and check out 10 celebrities who have changed in a big way.

1) Kim Kardashian

Before she was Mrs Kanye West
Who better to start with than the world's most famous woman, Kim Kardashian?
The reality star didn't shoot to stardom until landing her own show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, in 2007 (which was also the year her sex tape with former boyfriend Ray J was leaked).
Before then she was just a young, innocent girl - without long flowing hair and figure-hugging clothes - who had dreams of being famous.
Last year a video surfaced of Kim proclaiming herself to be the 'dopest of the ropest' and showing that while her appearance may have changed, her personality hasn't.

2) David Beckham

Becks has always loved football
David Beckham's had so many hairstyles that we've completely given up keeping track.
But does anybody remember the spiky product-free look that he once rocked in 1987?
A picture from a soccer trip to Barcelona shows that while David was always into football, he wasn't always into messing with his mane.
Still, he's as lovable as ever on the snap.

3) Myleene Klass

Myleene is proud of her past
Earlier this year Myleene Klass had a bit of a sort out and ended up stumbling across a retro photo .
It featured the radio presenter when she was merely a school girl who wore Deirdre Barlow-like glasses.
Fashionable? No. Cute? Yes.
The mum-of-two proudly shared the picture with her fans, writing: "Having a clear up, I was such a dude. Mini Myleene."

4) Robert Pattinson

Before he was Edward Cullen
When most people think of the Harry Potter films they think of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.
But Robert Pattison was also a member of the cast in both 2005 and 2007.
R-Patz was just a teenager during filming and was certainly lacking the hunky star quality that made women swoon during Twilight.
Obviously that would all change when he was cast as vampire Edward Cullen several years later.

5) Emily Ratajkowski

A walk down memory lane
Emily Ratajkowski is still quite new to the showbiz scene, having only shot into the limelight after starring in Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines music video in 2013.
So really we've probably still got quite a lot to learn about the brunette beauty.
Emily recently gave her fans a little look into her past when she shared a throwback picture on Instagram .
Oh those pigtails!

6) Justin Timberlake

Before he invested in hair straighteners
In April, Justin Timberlake became a daddy for the first time.
Which is quite strange considering that the Cry Me A River hitmaker grew up in front of our eyes.
Before his romance with Jessica Biel , his ground-breaking Justified album and his days in NSYNC, Justin was a member of the Mickey Mouse Club.
These days he's got much more control over his hair.

7) Britney Spears

There is a big difference
Let's not forget Britney Spears too.
Before she was dancing around in a school uniform, Britney was a fresh-faced youngster with some incredible music talent.
Like Justin, she melted hearts during her appearances on the Mickey Mouse Club.

9) Rita Ora

She's always had the X Factor
Rita Ora's childhood pictures show that she's always enjoyed pushing the boundaries of fashion.
An old school snap shared by the singer in 2014 featured her wearing a baggy red dress and looking rather happy about it .
Perhaps most astonishingly, Rita hasn't always rocked her trademark platinum hair and was once a brunette.
Another equally adorable picture from times gone by show Reets smiling widely and ready for success.

8) Leonardo DiCaprio

Now one of Hollywood's hottest
Leonardo DiCaprio has always been the King of Cool.
Even his flowing blonde locks and curtain fringe was on trend once upon a time.
Little Leo's adorable face helped him make waves in Tinsel Town from an early age before eventually landing the role of Jack in Titanic.

10) Frankie Bridge

Long before The Saturdays started
Most people will vaguely recall the S Club Juniors group who were formed in 2001.
But we reckon a lot less will actually remember that Frankie Bridge was part of the group.
Frankie was just 12-years-old when she took her place in the band and looked a lot different at the time.
Namely because she hadn't worked out how much short hair works for her.
